Hi, I'm Lyndall, Dermal Therapist, Skin Nerd and the world's most weird and wonderful Beauty Therapist. I am your go-to body-positive, LGBTQIA+ and kink-friendly salon, with the perfect mix of expertise and openness I can work with you to help you embrace your own beauty whatever that may look like.
The salon is relaxing and private located in my home. I work with results-driven products that are scientifically based while making your feel pampered and relaxed. Not only does working from an at-home salon provide a safe, comfortable and open space for us to work together to achieve your beauty goals, it also allows me to really focus on just you. I offer waxing, spray tanning, lash & brow services. Specialising in advanced skin treatments that can be customised to suit your skin.
12 years ago as a young goth with 33 piercings, a career in beauty and dermal therapy was not something anyone expected. I became obsessed when I developed a skin disorder that caused giant cystic ingrown hairs to pop up all over my body. I got so frustrated with dermatologists always over-prescribing medications to treat the symptoms and never looking at the skin holistically to treat the cause and prevent them from occurring. So at 17, I took the issue into my own hands and studied my Diploma of Beauty Therapy at the Australian College of Beauty Therapy. For the first time in my life, I loved learning, I was hooked. So I added on ITEC qualifications allowing me to practice beauty therapy anywhere in the world.
In my efforts to treat my cysts, I sought IPL treatment at one of the leading Medi Spas in Perth. I ended up with horrible burns. I was amazed by the lack of regulations and training required in Australia. So as soon as The Australasian Academy of Cosmetic Dermal Science began offering the Advanced Diploma in Dermal Science, I was in. It bridges the gap between cosmetic surgery and beauty therapy and is the highest level of study available in WA. This course meant that I became not only formally qualified in the new advanced technologies such as IPL, LED, chemical peels, microdermabrasion etc. I was able to gain a more in-depth understanding of the skin in a medical sense and is where I developed my passion for cosmetic chemistry and the interaction of cosmetic treatments on a cellular level.
After building my career managing high-end salons, I began to develop a grudge against unethical practices of overselling and overpriced products, so I created my own little 1 woman salon. I was excited about being able to offer my clients honest, unbiased advice with the most up to date research to help them achieve their skin and beauty goals. And so Evolve Skin & Body was born and has continued to grow with every client I help. I love spending my time in a more relaxed setting, chatting with my clients every day. It's the best job in the world.
