What to do after a Lash Lift?

Updated: Mar 30, 2020

Hey thanks heaps for coming in for your lashes. Here are some easy tips to make the most out of your treatment. The best part about your Lash Lift?

it's LOW MAINTENANCE!! Just a bit of extra care is required during the first 24 hours, so here is a list of do's & don'ts! DO'S

  • Be gentle with your lashes for the first 24 hours

  • Use a lash growth serum, but wait 24 hours to apply

  • Book your next lash lift for 6-10 weeks later

  • Brush your lashes daily with a lash wand

DONT'S

  • Rub your lashes for 24 hours

  • Get your lashes wet for 24 hours (some of my clients wear goggles in the shower)

  • Use harsh products or oil-based makeup removers

  • Take a steamy, hot shower the first 24 hours

  • Wear Mascara - for 24 hours

  • Use waterproof mascara’s - indefinitely!! They are damaging to your lashes!

  • Go swimming for at least 24hrs.

  • Use coconut oil or castor oil on the lashes - this will cause them to straighten back out.

The reason for your lashes being sensitive for the first 24 hours is a lash lift breaks the hydrogen bonds between the keratin of the hairs and then resets them in an upright position. The bonds are still stabilizing for up to 24 hours and are not completely set. If you have any issues within the first week please rebook and they can be reset for free 😀
